"When I saw the way that liveBooks embedded my Vimeo films within the site – I jumped at the chance to integrate the new design into my website. It's been great to have liveBooks and Vimeo providing me with some of the best tools out there to control, track and share my work with others throughout the world."
– Vincent Laforet
"About a year ago, I decided to extend my work from still photography into motion. After building a small collection of animations, I wanted to find a way to post them to my existing liveBooks website. This was a struggle to work out, so I ended up with my animations on Vimeo and still work on my liveBooks site. Then the two sites got together. The combination of Vimeo and liveBooks together is fantastic. It's the best of still and motion coming together."
– David Emmite
"We have fully embraced multimedia and social media – and our liveBooks site does a wonderful job of allowing us to incorporate it all into one neat package. liveBooks puts a lot of work into delivering a strong design with ease of use, and I’m thankful they’ve made it so easy on photographers like myself."
– Emilie Sommer
Headquartered in New York and part of the leading internet company IAC, Vimeo is the de-facto standard for video sharing and streaming of high quality, high-definition, full screen video across the internet. Vimeo was started by filmmakers and video creators who wanted to share their creative work, and 'personal moments' of their everyday life. Today, they boast over 4 million registered users and on the way they have carved a significant role for themselves, encouraging more and more members with a wide range of video interests to join, upload their work and share with the community.
And once you have a Vimeo enabled liveBooks website, the only other thing you need is a Vimeo account and then whether you are a photographer, videographer, film maker, small businesses indeed anyone with a need to share video - you can, either individually or as a full directory - present your video work on brand and in context.
There are different page styles used to show video in your website. One page style is the 'multi-video display page', where you have the ability to display all the content of a specific album inside of Vimeo. That page has 5 different layouts that is user controlled within the editSuite. The diagram below shows the 5 layouts. Simply select the layout in the editSuite, save and the change is automatically pushed through to your website. In order to integrate this page into your liveBooks website you will need a free Vimeo or Vimeo Plus account to host your videos.
