Position Overview:
Headquartered in San Francisco, California, liveBooks has a growing office in Brasov, Romania. We are seeking a Branch Manager who will help the Brasov team become and remain a highly effective unit with excellent employee happiness and engagement. Success comes from great teamwork and in this position you will work closely with the other leaders of the Brasov office and directly with the talented and dedicated staff. Responsibilities:
The Branch Manager has three areas of responsibility:
- Leading the local development team in the role of Development Manager;
- Managing administrative and operational matters for the office;
- Providing leadership and guidance to the entire Brasov office.
In your capacity as the development manager, you will lead the development team in the Brasov office. You will make recommendations on positions to be filled, and you will lead the hiring process with support from the HR Manager in the San Francisco office. You will recommend candidates to hire and the terms of their compensation. As the leader of the team, you will communicate and model the mission and values of the company to the local office. You are responsible for all aspects of performance management: coaching, career development, and performance review.
Furthermore, in your role as development manager you are responsible for effective execution of the development process. You will assist in defining the process and putting it into practice using appropriate change management. You will participate in application design sessions, project reviews and other process activities. During the development process, you will work closely with developers to assist them in decision-making and setting priorities. Additionally, you will work with the team to establish and maintain standards for documentation, coding, test and other artifacts.
In this role you report to the VP Technology. You will maintain regular live and written communication with him to set priorities, allocate resources and develop a high-performing team.
As administrative manager, you will direct and coordinate all of the practical details of the local office. You will support and supervise the bookkeeping function. You will share responsibility for continuing to guarantee that all financial actions and reports are completed correctly and promptly. You will make sure that office management is efficient, insuring that the facilities and services are well-maintained and that the work environment remains positive and healthy.
As the site leader, you will work with the other members of the Brasov leadership team. Together, you will provide day-to-day leadership and management for all aspects of the liveBooks Romania office. This will include directing and coordinating activities in support of the policies, goals and objectives outlined by the liveBooks Leadership Team. You will be responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all people and processes including providing timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Company. Through the use of appropriate leadership mechanisms including coaching and the modeling of desired behaviors, you will help individuals achieve their potential as part of an effective and lively team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of five years experience managing a team of software developers
- Experience developing or managing development of web-based software solutions
- Outstanding experience working within a team of talented and enthusiastic individuals
- Experience working with a global company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian
- Office management experience
